CAREER
“ELIO’S FRIENDS” is a music project created by SANGY (Maurizio Sangineto), and the italian musician Elio Crosara, both from the city of Vicenza. Elio started playing the guitar in 1960 with the beat band “Apostholi”, having a good success in many of the most famous discotheques, such as Piper in Rome.
Then, in 1980, he started studying vibraphone and piano, approaching a different music style.
In 1983 he starts the collaboration with SANGY, based on an instrumental music project called “ELIO’S Friends”. The productions consists in three instrumental music albums with this brand.
The first one, titled “Song for Laura”, was published in 1983.
The second one,”Body music”, was published in 1986.
The third one, “Elios’ Friends 3”, was published in 1989.
To produce these albums, the duo has been supported , by some friends, good local musicians, and by Sandy Dian, as sound engineer at his Sandy’s Recording Studio.
These records, much appreciated from the critics, remain an example of high quality classy music, perfect to be used as soundtrack for images or to create a refined ambient mood.
These records has also been published, having a good success, in Brazil by the brazilian division of MUSIX Records in Rio de Janeiro.
