With only one single, produced and performed by SANGY in the early ’80s, this music project represents an original way to fuse two hits of those years, “Good times” by Chic and “Wot” by Captain Sensible, in a unique sound, between funky and electronic, still exciting and pumping after so long time.
“I created this music project just as a game, starting from the name of the band: 11 and 29 simply are two of my favourite numbers. I wanted to create a new electronic dance sound on the line of two famous songs of the time: “Good times” by Chic and “Wot” by Captain Sensible. As usual for me I mixed the electronic sound with a touch of real funky bass.
For the voice I asked a friend, Kenny Claiborne from “The Armed Gaamg” project, to rap on the song. The result was so original that today this record is considered a cult by the fans of this genre.”
